National Field Day 2011

This weekend it was NFD.

LA2U/p (clubstation) was active from a QTH nearby.

DXCC Certificate

Today I received it by mail.

So tomorrow I have to fine a frame for it.

100 DXCC

Yesterday I applied and got issued 100 DXCC on CW.
All QSL's via LoTW.

A nice milestone for me :)

XYL-friendly

This is my 10m tall vertical.

But there has been alot of "wires and other stuff" at the bottom.

Hopefully this will hide the stuff :)

2m J-Pole

Here are some pictures of my homebrew j-pole for 2m

It is made of 8mm thread-rods.
The longest element is extended with a long nut.

Thunder

Last weekend there was some heavy lightning nearby.
Closest hit was 3 seconds away, but none into my shack :)

I have updated my logging program from CQRLOG. If You are using Linux; take at look.

Es Season

The last days there has been Es.
I only have a deltaloop on 6m, but it's doing the job.

Also on HF there have been much nice DX.

Easter vacation

Back again after some days with vacation.
9N7DX and V85TL on 15m this afternoon.

Next week my CG3000 antennatuner will be installed.

Since last

I have not been so active with the blog, but rather spending time in the shack.

Some new dxcc's in the log.

I've upgraded my log-program from www.cqrlog.com.
It's still an alpha version, but its working ok.

Today I had some time to spend in the shack.
I've got a new LAN connection, so the log-PC worked fine.

Going through 40m and there was S79UFT CQ-up. No takers.
After he was logged, I entered a spot on DX-summit.fi . Big pile-up.

Snow and stormy weather here today.

Only 10 QSO's since last post. (logbook on the bottom of my blog)

But today i got 4A4A on 15m. The others were busy with contesting, so I got a chance :)

Finally I got BY in the log.
BD1CAL was calling CQ, and there was no big pilup.

Not so much activity the last days.
But I had a nice QSO with GM4KGK on 30m today.

Kenya

Some hours this evening also.
I was trying to get XU om 30m, but the pileup was to big.

Just before I was going to close down, I checked 40m.
5Z4/OH1RX had just started to split, and he got into the log.

Fallback

Even though the old cw-filter was good, the lack of full-break-in, 200w, rx-eq and other stuff "forced" me to bring back the TS-480HX.
I had a nice QSO with AG7N, John on 17m this evening.
The aurora was present, bringing that nice tone to it.

Back to old Rig

I put up my old TS-430S after been using a TS-480HX for the last months.
The 480 is a great radio, and it is easy to use. But it had no IF-filters installed, but my 430 have YK-88C (500Hz).

Worked CY0 Sable Island on 15m with my 22 year old rig today.

Senegal and Turks & Caicos

No activity yesterday, but some hours today.
6W om 15m, VP5 on 17m were logged.
An EI station created a heavy pileup as well.
